I'm going to start this news post with a little story. Grab a Capri-Sun and a booster seat and listen in.
Once upon a time there was a little Jedi Master named Valen.
Little Valen had an idea to start a new clan to bring glory and honor to the Jedi Order after leaving his previous life as a Sith. But he wasn't sure if he should go through with it because he may not have the time or motivation to help make it grow and flourish. But after weeks of planning, Shadow Order was born! And with it, members began to arrive one by one.
Little Valen was very surprised to find that people wanted to join his little band of Jedi! But he didn't want to play favorites and give the first members a full ride to the top ranks, so he decided to have everyone start out as a Padawan rank so it was fair for everyone. This was fine until little Valen was given more responsibilities outside of the clan! The clan began to grow and grow and his ability to keep up was diminishing! Oh no!
As his activity went down, so did the rest of the clan's. Lots of people's interest became minimal, either because they were also busy or there wasn't enough going on to keep them around. It was a dark time! Little Valen knew he should have put people on the Shadow Council earlier so that they could help keep the clan running without relying only on him! But it was too late, the system was in place.
Years went by, with the size of the clan remaining the same and Valen's time split between numerous things. It would take a long time for members to reach the ability to join the Council. So Valen decided to just change the system. It was his clan, after all. So he did! This allowed for members to be added to the Council without needing any roles, only to rank up as normal! Wow! That simple!
So little Valen welcomed Frost and Artemis to his Shadow Council officially. After two long years, the Shadow Order finally had the beginnings of a council, with hopes of more in the future. And they lived happily ever after!
Thanks to @Frost and @Artemis for helping me a ton over the last couple of years (not to mention a few others of course!). You deserved being on the council long before now. I look forward to working with you both closer from now on! And hopefully more will join us sooner rather than later!
